About Mayo Art

Art at Mayo is in the form of an Elective Class, meaning it is offered every day during study hall periods. If a student does not have a study hall, they are unable to take Art as a class. For questions or concerns, email me at marp@paris95.k12.il.us

Throughout the school year, I strive to assign projects that enrich each student's overall learning experience at Mayo.
My goal as a teacher is to design curriculum that compliments and enhances subjects being taught outside the art room in addition to building each students creative potential, skills and basic knowledge of the arts. My goal as an artist is to spark creativity, inspire confidence, and build a lifelong appreciation for all forms of art.

To accomplish these goals, students work in the following 2-D and 3-D areas and disciplines:
- Drawing
- Painting
- Printing
- Clay/Sculpture
- Collage
- Mixed Media
- Art Elements and Principles (line, color, pattern, scale, etc.)
- Art History

The art program at Mayo Middle School would not be possible without the support of our sponsors and administration.
